N. amp ‘BM’ is one of the most sought-after lowland species around! They produce almost black pitchers with lime green stripes!  These are well-established rooted cuttings from our stock plant.

Male. Shipped with roots carefully wrapped in sphagnum.

This plant prefers lowland conditions.  It should be kept between 84-90F , with nights no lower than 65F.  Nepenthes can acclimate to lower humidity levels, although the best results will be seen with a relative humidity around 80%. Bright, indirect light and pure water. 

 

Nepenthes ampullaria is named from the latin word ampulla meaning 'flask'. This lowland species has a wide distribution throughout Malaysia,  Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea.  Its very popular lowland plant with very distinct features.  Nepenthes ampullaria are partially  detritivores, which rely on falling leaf litter as nutrients. There are many color varieties that range from lime green to black.  Ampullaria thrive with Hot, humid days and warm nights.
