Columnea gloriosa
This species is endemic to Central and South America. It's a member of the African violet family. The plant also goes by the name Goldfish Plant because the flowers look like a flying fish with fins. These do well hanging amongst our Neps, but can handle more light. Columnea gloriosa sure is glorious!
There are so many plants that enjoy the same conditions as Nepenthes, most love high humidity and bright indirect light. Aroids, bromeliads, ferns, and orchids are just a few companion plants for Nepenthes. We love adding bromeliads between our tropical pitcher plants for a burst of color and texture! They also look nice mounted on driftwood. Ferns add a softness to the environment and really make the colorful pitchers stand out. Aroids add bizarre leaf shapes and orchids make great conversation pieces! The list goes on! Our collection has grown significantly over the years and we regularly take divisions from some of our favorite gems. Adding these treasures to your collection can really elevate the aesthetic of your grow space and allow you to enjoy it even more. We have been multiplying some of our companion plants and they will be available here from time to time.

The best way to display this one is by hanging it! The curtain of intense red flowers will stop anyone ion their tracks. The main image shows a mature specimen. We are offering the cutting in the secondary images. Warm Tropical conditions with high humidity.
