Billbergia 'Moulin Rouge' is a member of the Bromeliad family. Most are defined by their funnel shaped rosettes that come in an array of colors! Billbergia 'Moulin Rouge' is a creation by a well known bromeliad grower, Bob Spivey. It's a hybrid between domingos martins x 'Afterglow and the results are amazing. They look like they were splashed with spray paint and when the light hits them, look out!  Billbergia tend to stay compact and don't take up much space, well until they multiply! Place them between your Neps for a strong visual impact. They do prefer very bright light and not too wet. One of our favorite bromeliads in our collection!

There are so many plants that enjoy the same conditions as Nepenthes, most  love high humidity and bright indirect light. Aroids, bromeliads, ferns and orchids are just a few companion plants for Nepenthes. We love adding bromeliads between our tropical pitcher plants for a burst of color and texture! They also look nice mounted on driftwood. Ferns add a softness to the environment and really make the colorful pitchers stand out. Aroids add bizarre leaf shapes and orchids make great conversation pieces! The list goes on! Our collection has grown significantly over the years and we regularly take divisions from some of our favorite gems.  Adding these treasures to your collection can really elevate the aesthetic of your grow space and allow you to enjoy it even more. We have been multiplying some of our companion plants and they will be available here from time to time.
