N. orbiculata NEW RELEASE!
This species is endemic to the island of Phang Nga off the coast of Thailand and thought to be an extreme form of the mainland population of N. mirabilis. They produce very squat pitchers with large wings and create an eye-catching specimen! This is the first release of our in-house grex between two spectacular forms. They love it warm, humid, and not too bright. The main images show our larger specimens. The last image shows the seedling size we are offering. This plant will be shipped in a pot.

This plant prefers intermediate conditions. It should be kept between 78-84F in the day and would benefit from nights in the ’60s. Nepenthes can acclimate to lower humidity levels, although the best results will be seen with a relative humidity range between 75-80%. Bright, indirect light, and pure water.
Nepenthes or tropical pitcher plants are primarily native to Southeast Asia. There are roughly 180 species, with many recently discovered in the 20th century. They grow anywhere from hot, sticky jungles to chill mountain tops high above the clouds. Tho Nepenthes were once thought to be difficult to grow, this is far from the truth. Most plants have adapted to cultivation quite well and the hobby is growing quickly. In fact, most tropical pitcher plants species and hybrids will thrive between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Check out our Nepenthes care tips here. For an in-depth look at different species and their temperature requirements take a look at this guide.
