We selected Nepenthes glandulifera x veitchii for the stripes and color and crossed it with our even more colorful and striped spectabilis veitchii. There is a lot of potential in the gene play when you double the veitchii in a hybrid! We are expecting a lot of stripes and colors on these. So far they are proving to be vigorous and colorful at a small size!

This plant prefers intermediate conditions. It should be kept between 78F-84F in the day and would benefit from nights in the 60s. Nepenthes can acclimate to lower humidity levels, although the best results will be seen with a relative humidity range between 75-80%. Bright, indirect light, and pure water.

Nepenthes are primarily native to Southeast Asia. There are roughly 180 species, with many recently discovered in the 20th century. They grow anywhere from hot, sticky jungles to chill mountain tops high above the clouds. Though Nepenthes were once thought to be difficult to grow, this is far from the truth. Most plants have adapted to cultivation quite well and the hobby is growing quickly. In fact, most tropical pitcher plant species and hybrids will thrive between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
