Another fun Candy Dreams hybrid, this time involving one of the smaller pitchering species, minima. Maybe these will be like a small, squat Tiveyi?

This plant prefers intermediate/highland conditions.  It can be kept between 75-84F  in the day and would benefit from nights in the '60s for the best color.  Nepenthes can acclimate to lower humidity levels, although the best results will be seen with a relative humidity range between 75-80%. Bright, indirect light, and pure water.

Nepenthes Veitchii (A) is an in-house creation from the Redleaf Exotics breeding program. Nepenthes or tropical pitcher plants are primarily native to Southeast Asia.  There are roughly 180 species, with many recently discovered in the 20th century. They grow anywhere from hot, sticky jungles to chill mountain tops high above the clouds. Though Nepenthes are thought of as difficult to grow, this is far from the truth. Most plants have adapted to cultivation quite well and the hobby is growing quickly. In fact, most tropical pitcher plant species and hybrids will thrive between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Check out our Nepenthes care tips here.  For an in-depth look at different species and their temperature requirements take a look at this guide.
