Coco chips have become very popular in horticulture over the years. This soil-less grow medium is great for Nepenthes as it increases aeration and moisture retention. Coco chips don't break down as quickly as sphagnum or other potting mixes. Our supply is cleaned and triple washed to ensure low EC (~0.5-1) and balanced pH (5.9-6.8). WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND AT LEAST ONE FULL WASH! Every grower's conditions are different and we always suggest experimenting to find what works best for your plant roots. We love to mix our coco chips with an addition of 40% perlite for extra sharp drainage.
