Drosera magnifica was only recently discovered in 2015 via images posted on Facebook. Who would have thought?! This highland sundew is endemic to Picodo Padre Angelo in southeastern Brazil. It is one of the largest species in the genus and still rare in cultivation. We grow these with Heliamphora and highland Nepenthes. Bright light! Critically endangered.
Drosera or sundews are one of the largest groups of carnivorous plants. With nearly 200 species ranging from highland to lowland types. Most prefer growing in acidic peat and sand-based soils.
