Aechmea blumenavii is rare species endemic to the cool, wet south of Brazil, near a town named Bluemenau. One of our favorite bromeliads in the collection! The dark blue spotted tips really make it something special for the collection. Spikes of bright yellow flowers really top off the display. It is critically endangered in the wild.
